The airport has a control tower of four floors with 12.70 meters and an asphalt runway of 2500 meters long by 45 wide. It is currently under the management of “Peruvian Airports” (ADP), a private company that managed the grant of the Terminal on December 11th, 2006 and is the main gateway to the department of Cajamarca leading to attractions like: The Cumbe Mayo, Conjunto Monumental Belén and the Convent of San Francisco.
