About AeroMexico: AeroMexico airline, founded in 1934, launched its operations with a flight between Mexico DC and Acapulco on September 14, 1934. Today, AeroMexico offers 496 daily flights to 49 destinations. The total number of flights operated by the company reaches 728 destinations in 149 countries when working in alliance with SkyTeam. AeroMexico offers flights through code-sharing agreements with other companies.

Since 1991 the airline works with Aerolitoral for domestic flights in the country. Headquartered at the international airport of Mexico DC, the entire fleet of AeroMexico has the image of the “Eagle Knights” as a trademark.

Ancient traditions of Mexico give three possible explanations for the popularity of this image. The first is related to the god Quetzalcoatl, the feathered, the second refers to a ritual ceremony called the flight and the third explanation links the image with the Aztecs and their military organization, where the Eagle Knights were the most valued warriors.
